Welcome to Tiny Mindful Moments
Bringing Mindfulness to the Next Generation
About
My name is Jessica McRae:
Founder of TinyMindfulMoments
Hi, I’m Jessica, a yoga instructor, educator, and mom — the heart behind Tiny Mindful Moments.
First and foremost, I’m a mom. My greatest joy comes from raising my kids, Connor and Julia, and watching them grow into kind, curious, and mindful humans. TinyMindfulMoments was born from my desire to blend motherhood, movement, and mindfulness — to create a life where calm and connection can exist right alongside the beautiful chaos of raising a family.

My journey began in the classroom, where I spent years teaching and witnessing how powerful even the smallest mindful pauses could be for both kids and adults. When anxiety began showing up in my own life, I turned to yoga and mindfulness — not as an escape, but as a way to come home to myself. What started as a personal practice evolved into a passion for helping others find peace, presence, and purpose.

Through TinyMindfulMoments, I’ve been able to bring that mission to life — teaching yoga to adults and children, leading mindfulness sessions in schools, and creating resources for families and educators to make mindfulness simple and meaningful. My work allows me to stay connected to my community while modeling for my children what it looks like to live intentionally, follow your heart, and give back to others.

When I’m not teaching or creating, you’ll find me in the kitchen baking something sweet, curled up with a good book, or cheering at the rink as a full-blown hockey mom. I love exploring nature, soaking in fresh air, and simply spending time with my family — finding tiny mindful moments in every season of life.

✨ Because mindfulness isn’t about having it all together — it’s about showing up fully for the moments that matter most.

Meet Tiny Mindful Moments
When I look back, anxiety has been part of my story for as long as I can remember. It started young—lying awake at night, overwhelmed by thoughts I couldn’t make sense of.
As I grew, it shifted. I became incredibly hard on myself, constantly scanning for what I did wrong instead of what I did right. It was a quiet battle—I didn’t fall apart outwardly, but inside I was always trying to “fix” myself.
Over time, my anxiety came in waves. Then migraines hit—intense, vision-loss episodes that left me living in constant fear of the next one. I ended up in the ER more than once, convinced something was seriously wrong. That was my first deep anxiety season—and I remember thinking, I cannot live like this.
I started small. Moving my body each morning, just hoping it would help. That path led me to yoga, and it changed everything. For the first time, I felt a real connection between my mind and body. I wasn’t just fighting anxiety anymore—I was learning how to sit with it.
Therapy came next. My first experience wasn’t the right fit, but it taught me how to advocate for myself. Finding the right therapist helped me understand intrusive thoughts for what they are—just thoughts, not truths. That’s when healing truly began.
Life softened. I got married, became a mom, and continued building tools through yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. But in 2023, anxiety returned suddenly after a migraine while driving with my kids. It was overwhelming—but this time, I knew where to start.
I returned to the practices that grounded me—movement, breathwork, meditation—and included my kids in the process.
And in January 2024, Tiny Mindful Moments was born.
Because I knew I wasn’t alone. There are so many others quietly carrying the same weight.
What once helped me survive became my purpose. This work—through classes, community, and my online studio—is about helping others find those same tools.
This isn’t just a business.
It’s purpose. It’s alignment.
And I’m just getting started.
Our Classes
Our mission at Tiny Mindful Moments is to introduce kids to the benefits of mindfulness and yoga at an early age. Our 30-minute sessions are a perfect way for kids to unwind, relax and connect their mind, body and breath. We teach kids to embrace mindfulness as a tool to help cope with stress, anxiety and difficult emotions. Our yoga flows include both dynamic and calming poses, allowing kids to experience the benefits of both. And the best part? Our sessions are completely free!
